Your Customers Benefit When You
Provide Libraries! |
|
|
They save time in actually building footprints and symbols. On high pin count
parts the symbol can take days or even weeks to build correctly. We have one
company claiming that they take an average of 40 hours per footprint/symbol combination
that they add to their library. Some companies spend several days debugging
and checking large pin count parts. Smaller parts that do not easily fit within
industry standard formula's also often cause long delays in construction time and
review verification efforts. So when you provide data to your customer for
the correct footprint and symbol, you save him significant effort. |

|
Another benefit to your customer is the accuracy of your parts. You are providing
them with accurate pin function names and pin types in a spec sheet, but often this
accuracy is diluted as it is hand entered into CAD tools and sometimes translated
incorrectly. By providing accurate sizes of the part, as well as pin names
and numbers, you significantly improve the accuracy of your customers final product,
and the speed they get that product. Some of our customers have estimates
of review cycles that go from hours to as much time as the part took build originally.
You can cut the review time significnatly. One of our customers has an average
of 3 hours review time spent for each part built, and with our system has dropped
that time to 10 minutes per part built, with the same accuracy. |

|
Some customers need to provide libraries in multiple CAD tools. This could
be for different divisions using different tool sets, aquisitions or simply engineering
preferences. By providing your library data in a Vendor Neutral File you allow
your customers to speed this task significantly. |
