Post Export fails

Hi I am trying to do a simple export from a downloaded file.

I follow the three steps:
1. Load data. It gets it with no problems and displays both the symbol and the pattern.
2. Select Tools. I select Altium Designer, which is what I am using.
3. Export to Selected Tools. I press the button and all three windows close almost immediately. It seems the program just closes.

When I go to the folder C:\UltraLibrarian\Library\Exported\Altium there is only an empty folder named with the date and time of the export. Again, that folder is completely empty.

It seems the process is very simple but there is absolutely no clue of even where to start looking to get the export to work.

The bxl file I am trying to export is:

http://www.analog.com/media/en/symbols-footprints/symbols/ADA4528-2ARMZ.bxl

I am using Ultra Librarian Binary Reader Ver. 6.4.103 on Windows 7 Pro (64-bit).

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Likely you are having a problem because of the age of the software and a bug with Altium export. I tested this a few minutes ago without issue. You should uninstall your software, delete the installation directory and download http://www.accelerated-designs.com/Beta/ULADI_6_4_198.exe which is our latest version. If you will send your email to me at Frank@accelerated-designs.com I will forward the files we created for you.

Unfortunately the directories are still being created empty after running the updated tool.

Under C:\UltraLibrarian is found logfile.txt but doesn't seem to contain any logs of the last run. It seems an installation log.
Is there a log file I can quickly look at and figure what is not being liked by the program that is preventing it from generating the files?

I tried generating Eagle, Allegro and several other export formats. They all create empty directories. It seems my installation is incapable of generating anything at all. It can read the bxl files and I can see the pattern and the symbol. As soon as I hit the "Export to selected tools" button, all three windows of the program close. There might be a small window that opens for a split second with some info, but it is so fast that we can't read whatever is being presented to us.

We tried importing some Texas Instruments bxl files but the results were the same. Ultra Librarian Reader probably doesn't like something in our machine setup, there might be a conflict, or something is missing, but we have no idea what that can be.

To be sure we also did the following:
- Completely uninstall the program.
- Reboot
- Install the updated program with no other programs running.
- Reboot
- Run the program.

Thanks for the generated files, but unfortunately we have several tens of patterns to process and we might need a working reader installation nevertheless.

We appreciate the help very much.
Thank you.

Okay, Let me ask a few questions then....

What version of windows are you running?

Do you have an language packs installed?

Did you install as an administrator?

Can you navigate to the license screen and verify that you are indeed licensed? To get there start the program, go to "Options/Help" then select "License status". You should see most of the exports checked. Is that what you are seeing?
